I have been working with breastfeeding families for over 15 years. As a mother of four, I had my fair share of breastfeeding challenges which led me to the work I do now. My greatest desire is to help breastfeeding families feel heard and supported. We will work together to uncover and overcome the underlying causes of breastfeeding challenges. I will ensure you have an actionable plan to help you reach your breastfeeding goals and the support you need to see it through. I look forward to working with you.

My name is Olivia Owens, I am Registered Nurse specializing in maternal-newborn care and a Certified Lactation Consultant, as well as the founder of Kind Body Empowerment, a practice dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based lactation support to families in the community.
As a mother of three, each with their own unique breastfeeding journey, my personal experiences deeply inform the way I support families today. I created Kind Body Empowerment after struggling to find the support I needed with my middle child and recognizing a gap in accessible, skilled lactation care for mothers in my community.
With a background in nursing and sociology, I bring both clinical expertise and a broader understanding of the social, cultural, and structural factors that influence infant feeding. My work centers on helping families feel supported, informed, and empowered through every stage of their feeding journey, including breastfeeding support, pump education, and helping families navigate resources like obtaining breast pumps through insurance.
